Catalogue Note

It is interesting to note that the present lot dates to a point in the history of Patek Philippe when Norbert de Patek was still living. He passed away in 1877. It was only after his death that dials made by the firm began to be signed.

To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time the present lot has been offered at auction.
