- A Three-Tone Gold Diamond-Set Open-Faced Pendant Watch with Enamel Portrait 1898 MVT 106857 CASE 220575
- diameter 27mm.
• nickel lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, gold cuvette • white enamel dial, blue Roman numerals spaced by gilt medallions, outer Arabic numerals and minute tracking, Louis XVI-style hands • yellow, green and pink gold circular case chased in floral and foliate motif, the reverse with an enamel portrait of a young woman in eighteenth-century dress framed in round-cut diamonds • case, dial and movement signed • with a gold Tiffany & Co. chain with diamond-set fan
Condition
The movement is running however we recommend service soon. The dial is very nice and has no hairlines. The case is in excellent condition. The enamel panel to the back has some surface scratches, however these are only visible under a loupe. The case shows almost no wear and is lovely. It is very rare to have a watch like this made in three-colors of gold. The watch might have been made by Patek Philippe, however we have not been able to get an answer from the firm.
