Description

The baseball gods finally smiled upon the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1955. The final out of a grueling seven game series came when Elston Howard grounded to shortstop Pee Wee Reese who made the schoolboy toss to Hodges to end the game. And then it was over, the "Bums from Brooklyn" gave the Yankees a dose of "Wait 'til Next Year," winning the first World Championship in franchise history. This ONL (Giles) ball bears the signatures of twenty-five (25) members of the team including Robinson, Campanella (MVP), Koufax, Hodges, Reese (clubhouse), Alston, Amoros, Bessent, Craig, Erskine, Furillo, Gilliam, Hoak, Kellert, Labine, Moryn, Snider (clubhouse), Newcombe, Podres, Roebuck, Shuba, Spooner, Templeton, and Walker. Overall the signatures average 5-6/10. A smudge mark appears over Robinson’s signature while Campanella’s signature rates a solid 7/10. There are minor surface abrasions near the sweet spot of the ball. Excellent condition overall. LOAs from PSA/DNA and JSA.
