Description

Though Bowman was an East Coast company that sold most of its gum in the Philadelphia/New York metro area, they produced a limited number of cards dedicated to players in the Pacific Coast League as an extension of their regular series in 1949. The curious subset stands today as one of the most coveted and scarce PCL issues featuring only players from Hollywood, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Sacramento, San Francisco, Oakland, and Portland. This impressive set averages EX-MT overall with many cards possessing a fresh, uncirculated appearance. The breakdown by PSA grade is as follows; PSA 7 NM: #5, 11, 13, 14, 23. PSA 6 EX-MT: #2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30. PSA 5 EX: 1, 20, 31, 32, 33, 34. PSA 4 VG-EX: #35. PSA 2 GD: #36.
