The high-scoring, 6-9 center/forward's 14-season tenure in the league began brilliantly. He won Rookie of the Year honors, won three consecutive scoring championships, and an MVP Award, all in his first four years with Buffalo. A trade took McAdoo to the New York Knicks where he continued to score with regularity. During the 1976-77 season, McAdoo averaged nearly 27 points and 13 rebounds for the Knickerbockers. McAdoo's 1976-77 New York Knicks jersey features the "Sand-Knit" label with the size "46" on the left front tail. "New York" appears across the front in orange tackle twill on a blue tackle twill backing. On the back is "McAdoo" in blue tackle twill and his player number "11" appears on both the front and back.
