Description

Nate Archibald had a stellar 13-year career in the NBA, most notably with the Kansas City Kings and Boston Celtics. In 1973 Archibald led the NBA in scoring and assists. His scoring average of 34.0 points per game was, at the time, an NBA record for a guard. His 910 assists that season (11.4 assists per game) was also an NBA record at the time, breaking Guy Rodgers' mark of 908. Archibald won his first and only NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in the 1980-81 season alongside young NBA star Larry Bird. A seven-time NBA All-Star (1973, 1974, 1975 , 1976, 1980, 1981, and 1982), he was named the 1981 All-Star Game MVP. In 1996 Archibald was voted amongst the NBA's 50 Gretaest Players. Archibald's Boston Celtics home knit jersey dates from the late 1970's. On the left tail of Archibald's Celtics jersey is the "Sand-Knit" exclusive label and below is the "Sand-Knit" label with his player number "7" written in black magic marker. All the letters and numbers are made of green tackle twill. The jersey shows solid game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. LOAs from MEARS (A9) and Grey Flannel.
