Casey Stengel's 18k Gold Watch from Joe DiMaggio

In the three years that Stengel and Joe DiMaggio spent together with the New York Yankees (1949-1951), they never failed to win the World Championship. Though polar opposites in terms of personality and demeanor, each was a monumental leader of men in their own way. Linking these two Yankee icons is this 18k gold Impala brand watch presented to Stengel by DiMaggio. The back is engraved "To Casey, Best Wishes, Joe DiMaggio" with the script mirroring the handwriting of Joe D. The body of the watch itself is in excellent condition with one half of the band missing. LOA from the Stengel family.
