Bill Walton 1977-78 Portland Trailblazers Home Jersey

After achieving superstardom playing for John Wooden's powerhouse UCLA Bruins in the early '70s and winning three straight College Player of the Year Awards, Walton was destined to become an NBA legend. When he was healthy, Walton had few peers. He won the NBA Most Valuable Player award while playing for the defending NBA champion Trail Blazers in 1977-78. Dating from this benchmark season is this Portland Trail Blazers home mesh game jersey. On the right tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "42" and the flag tag stating "3 inch extra length." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Blazers” and on the back of the shirt is the name "Walton." His player number "32"appears on both the left breast and on the back of the jersey. All the letters and numbers are made of red tackle twill on a black tackle twill backing. At the top of his form, Walton scored, passed, intimidated, hustled, and played the role of leader with the best centers of his day.
