Description
A 6'2" guard from Saint Joseph's University, George Senesky played for eight seasons in the Basketball Association of America (BAA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA), all with the Philadelphia Warriors. He later coached the franchise, from 1955 through to 1958, winning the NBA title in 1956. This vintage jersey represents the formative years of the NBA and as such is an important and seldom seen piece of basketball history. In the back right tail is the "Horace Partridge" label which includes the size "40.” Lettering across the front of the shirt reads "Phila" and on the front and back of the shirt is Senesky’s player number "8". The letters and numbers are made of blue on gold felt. This jersey comes with a letter of provenance from George Senesky and a 1948 Bowman trading card showing him wearing this style number "8" jersey. The jersey shows substantial game use, especially around the shoulders, and has no alterations of any kind. Additional LOAs from MEARS (A8) and Grey Flannel.
