the hull carved of striated brown agate, with finely chiseled gilt-bronze prow of a spread-winged eagle and stern of openwork acanthus and river god mask, wind-blown tasseled drapery between, manned by a cupid helmsman blowing a conch while another, seated on a capstan and holding an anchor, serves as lookout; on a large rock crystal carved as a turbulent sea, the shaped marble base with ormolu leaf-tip rim.  Together with a detachable gilt-metal mast with plique-à-jour enamel sail depicting a multicolored dolphin; 2 pieces
