unmarked, probably Rundell, Bridge & Rundell, English, circa 1820, the miniature French, circa 1790-95



circular with waisted sides, the lid inset with a portrait miniature, attributed to Louis Narcisse Jacob, marquis d'Aigrement, of a gentleman with powdered hair en queue, wearing a pale green coat with a striped waistcoat and white stock, plain gold rim, chased foliate scroll thumbpiece

Condition

Excellent condition. The base edge with two chips to tortoiseshell, approx 1mm each, and minor wear to base.
