struck with French prestige marks including maker's mark LFT, circa 1785
oval, the lid later applied with an enamel portrait miniature, Geneva, circa 1770, of a gentleman, the ground, sides and base of translucent rust-coloured enamel over moiré engine-turning, within borders of red flowers with green foliage interspersed with red ovals on a sablé ground, the sides divided by scolled pilasters

Condition
Very good condition. Half of right side panel restored. Tiny losses and restorations to borders. The enamel of the base has a very fine craquelure, and minor surface scratching. Repaired hinge.
