  • width 8.5cm, 3 3/8 in
maker's mark partially rubbed but probably R crowned incuse, circa 1790



oval, the lid inset with a plaque painted with a wild boar hunt, split pearl border, the sides and base enamelled in translucent royal blue over engine-turning within paillon and white opaque enamel borders



 

Condition

Very good unrestored condition, apart from small areas of enamel loss, including two to border at side of lid. The lid plaque is especially well-painted.
