oval, the lid later enamelled in translucent royal blue over concentric wavy engine-turning and inset with brilliants, the borders decorated with white beads and green laurel, the lid border later set with brilliants, the sides and base of blue enamel scattered with paillon stars, the sides divided by swag-hung pilasters

Condition

All of the enamel surfaces have been restored, the sides with later paillons. The borders are in very good condition, with only tiny enamel losses. The interior lid panel and its mount are loose; the panel is also somewhat crimped.
