Spanish or probably Spanish, 20th century



rectangular, the first with waisted sides, the lid engraved with a gallant and lady within rocaille scrolls, width 7.3cm, 2 7/8 in; the second with waisted sides and chamfered lid engraved with flowers, width 6.1cm, 2 3/8 in; and two boxes, Lopez, Madrid, with everted edges, the larger engraved with a waterfront fortress within bandwork, width 7.3cm, 2 7/8 in; the smaller engraved with musical instruments, width 5cm, 2in

Please note: All the boxes in this lot are struck with local marks for gold and/or have tested positive for gold; however, as they lack UK import marks and are of post-1922 manufacture, UK hallmarking regulations prevent us from describing them as gold. All in excellent condition. Slight lid closure gap to first box, its hinge possibly repaired.
