the first Charles-Christian Petschler, Paris 3e titre et garantie, Paris, 1819-1838, the second probably Austro-Hungarian, circa 1810



the first of rounded rectangular form, the lid and base with oval panels of scale engine-turning within chased foliate borders on a sablé ground, the interior of the lid with a presentation inscription; the second rectangular with cut corners, the lid chased with a leafy mask within angled geometric reeding

Provenance

The inscription reads: '4 Mars 1823 / A Mercier / Les Grenadiers du 3eme Bon / de la 2eme Légion'.

Condition

First: Excellent condition and crisp. Second: Minor surface nicks and scratches, and one shallow dent at upper left corner of lid.
