rectangular with cut corners, the lid, sides and base inset with later Austrian enamel plaques painted en grisaille with cavorting putti, after Boucher, on green grass below pink skies, on a translucent blue enamel ground over moiré engine-turning, within chased acanthus borders, gold swag-hung cagework mounts, the sides divided by pilasters

Condition

Excellent condition. There are two hair cracks to the enamel at the lower right corner of the lid, with a tiny bit of loss there, which is visible in the catalogue photo.
