unmarked, Geneva, second quarter of the 19th century
of shaped rectangular form with scalloped ends, the lid painted with a bouquet of flowers on a turquoise ground, polychrome taille d'épargne scroll borders and sides, the base now painted with a trellis of paisleys on a translucent pink ground

Condition
The original lid panel of this box has been replaced and is now the base panel painted with paisley pattern and with later restorations. Therefore, when the box is opened, the interior flange is attached to what is now the lid. There are small enamel losses and minor scratches. Generally, the box gives a good impression.
