rectangular with cut corners, the lid applied with a rectangular enamel plaque painted with Roman Charity, within a chased frame, the spandrels, sides and base enamelled in translucent steel blue over black diaper and engraved shells, taille d'épargne borders

Condition

Generally good condition. The lid has been off, and the interior lid lining is not flush with the lid. There is a small patch of restoration to the enamel of the upper portion of the left side of the lid, and surface scratches to the upper left portion of the central lid panel, visible in the catalogue photo. The rear panel with small chip to enamel at corner.
