oval, the lid painted en plein with Mars and Venus within a border of blue enamel and pearls, the sides and base enamelled in translucent blue over diaper-patterned engine-turning, ribbon and corn taille d'épargne borders

Condition

There is a patch of restoration to the lid, upper centre, visible in the catalogue photo. There are two enamel losses to the right side, one restored, the other just visible in the catalogue photo. The lid is especially well-painted.
