Catalogue Note

Johann Jacob Bruglocher was one of the most successful Augsburg goldsmiths of the early to mid-18th century with clients that included Augustus the Strong, Friedrich II of Sachsen-Gotha-Altenburg, Johannes Ernst von Biron Duke of Kurland, the Electors of Bavaria Karl Albrecht and Maximilian III, as well as the King of Prussia Friedrich Wilhelm I.
