- 26cm, 10 1/4 in high
melon shaped, later engraved with foliate and male busts within Régence cartouches around the cover, one side monogrammed JCC within cartouche, the other side armorial engraved, leaf-mounted applied shell and scroll spout, double-scroll leaf-mounted swing handle, together with an associated burner stand with scroll supports, John Chartier, London, 1733, wood button, handle and bun supports
Condition
Tea kettle fully hallmarked on underside, cover with lion passant, the wood handle with a small nick, surface wear commensurate with age but in overall good condition. The later stand of 1733 in good condition, the burner cover with badly struck maker's mark, possibly CK, and lion passant mark only.
