Description

  • 31.3, 12 1/2 in high
comprising: teapot, coffee pot, kettle on lampstand, with black fibre handles and buttons, and milk jug and sugar basin, the compressed circular bodies decorated with lobes below die-stamped and applied gadroon and leaf-flanked shell borders, further engraved with a Coat of Arms or crest, in blue baize-lined oak box, with retailer's label FRANKLIN & HARE, Silvermiths, PARADE, TAUNTON

Condition

Teapot lid slightly bent and not sitting properly - needs to be adjusted, kettle stand missing one chain two pins and lacking burner, otherwise good overall condition. The coffee pot with inscription: Presented to the Rev Edward Harbin Bates M.A. by his archeological colleagues and friends in Somerset and elsewhere on the ocassion of his marriage January 7th 1908. The arms and crest are those of the recipient.
