Description
- 37cm, 14 1/2 in and 34cm, 13 1/2 in wide
former shaped oval with reeded border, bright cut engraved with pierced leaf and geometric motifs, crested in centre, swing handle, the underside engraved The Gift of Miss Green to M. Linnecar, 1791 the other armorial engraved oval, pierced foliate scroll border above engraved laurel swags, beaded rims and swing handle, vase and pale pierced support
Condition
The one by William Plummer; rim with small dent at the base of each handle, very small split in piercing, otherwise pretty good condition, marked on body and handle, marks good and clear, armorial still relatively crisp.
The Robert Hennell example: surface scratches overall commensurate with age, a small cluster of light surface scratches to the right of the crest, engraved crest and marks crisp, in overall good condition.
