oval, the lid applied with a decorative cipher of entwined Ls beneath a kingly crown, set with rose diamonds on an oval translucent enamel plaque within a diamond frame, the ground finely reeded and hung with laurel swags, the sides chased with festooned rosettes and floral medallions, the base with a gardening trophy, paste-set thumbpiece
