the first of tapering form, the mounts chased with rocaille scrolls and foliage and enclosing panels of mottled grey agate with white banding, the interior with four implements including ivory slips and folding gilt-metal knife; the second, a sealing wax case, the cagework mounts over bright orange agate, the lid with small concealed compartment

Condition

First: One hair crack to reverse. Two implements lacking. Second: The front with cracks and a loss to the mounts (see catalogue photo).
