For an almost identical bird, resting on a crystal pond and eying a frog, workmaster Varangoz, from the Lindemann collection, see exhibition catalogue, von Hapsburg, Fabergé-Cartier, Rivale am Zarenhof, Munich, 2003/4, no. 668. The Cartier Archives record, 17/10/1907 "Héron cristal rose pattes or sur 2 feuilles nénuphars calcédoine reposant sur 1 patte, yeux brillants jaune".
