Description

probably French, circa 1800



the first with navette-shaped bezel, decorated in gold on translucent blue enamel with Egyptian 'hieroglyphics'; the second, en cannetille, decorated with lozenges on a wirework ground

Condition

1st - gold backing split in two places into triangular holes (not visible when worn); enamel good 2nd - good condition, rubbed control mark both with later French "hibou" control mark
