rectangular with cut corners, the lid painted en plein with a lively country scene of a huntsman with pointer being hailed by a young lady in a high-perch phaeton near a water mill, the ground, sides and base decorated in pale blue and white taille d'épargne enamels with diaper and neo-classical ornament

Condition

The hinge has been repaired and in one place there are traces of the resulting solder on the rear of the box. The enamel, however, is in overall very good condition; very small scrape on rim of base, and small scrapes on lid at 11 o'clock visible in catalogue photo.
