Group of enamel, diamond and seed pearl 'heart' jewelry, late 19th century

Description

Comprising three heart-shaped pins, applied with translucent pink, red and emerald green enamel respectively, the reverse of each with a glazed compartment, two heart-shaped pendant-lockets, applied with royal blue enamel, two heart rings of translucent pink and red enamel, and a pair of heart-shaped links applied with translucent red enamel, later converted to ear studs, the group variously decorated with rose-cut diamonds, seed pearls and split pearls, mounted in gold and silver, 1 diamond missing. Together with a gold chain of blue and white enamel baton links and seed pearls, length 20½ inches.

Condition

The group consists of: HEART-SHAPED PINK AND WHITE ENAMEL RING, set with diamonds and a small pearl, size 6 1/2, heavily tarnished on reverse. HEART-SHAPED RED AND WHITE ENAMEL RING, size 7, with two golden-gray pearls and diamonds. HEART-SHAPED GREEN AND WHITE ENAMEL BROOCH, set with pearls and rose-cut diamonds, glazed compartment on reverse. HEART-SHAPED PINK ENAMEL BROOCH, set with pearls and rose-cut diamonds, with glazed compartment on reverse. HEART-SHAPED RED AND WHITE ENAMEL BROOCH, set with pearls, with a glazed compartment on the reverse, presently with a photo enclosed. HEART-SHAPED RED AND WHITE ENAMEL EARRINGS, set with pearls and rose-cut diamonds, later-converted to post earrings. HEART-SHAPED BLUE ENAMEL LOCKET (small) set with rose-cut diamonds, one glazed compartment on the interior. HEART-SHAPED BLUE ENAMEL LOCKET (larger) set with rose-cut diamonds, one tiny one missing, one glazed compartment on the interior. BLUE ENAMEL AND PEARL CHAIN, fitted with spring ring, 20 1/2 inches. All diamonds are of decorative quality, as are the pearls, the enamels show only minor damage, and the pieces are in good condition, unless otherwise stated.
