Description
The cushion-shaped sapphire weighing approximately 14.00 carats, framed by 16 old-mine diamonds weighing approximately 2.40 carats, mounted in gold, size 5½.
Condition
In good condition with light wear to the mounting. The shank is very slightly out of round. The sapphire is a medium to medium-light slightly violetish blue, moderately included and with moderate color zoning. The inclusions and color zoning are not readily apparent when worn. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, VS-SI clarity with a few examples bearing minor chips and abrasions.
