The playful panda formed of onyx and white hardstone with cabochon emerald eyes and pavé-set diamond muzzle, lying on his back while balancing a 'ball' featuring a mother-of-pearl dial and gilt Roman numerals alternating with single-cut diamonds within a lapis lazuli case, the base of carved lapis, height 4½ inches, Swiss quartz movement , dial signed Van Cleef & Arpels, case signed V.C.A., numbered D4805 VI, maker's mark, assay marks. With signed and fitted case.
Condition
Good condition. Slight discoloration to the minute hand. The round-cut diamonds are approximately G-H color, VVS-VS clarity. Quartz movement, seven jewels, digital alarm, battery 'maxell sr-920' with standard power 1.5V. Clock is in good working condition but the time-setting function is not working.
