Description
Centering a hexagonal openwork plaque designed as a starburst bordered by a foliate garland, signed Cartier, circa 1910, set with old European-cut, single-cut and rose-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, joined to a seed pearl and platinum mesh band, the white gold spacers and clasp set with small round diamonds, the total diamond weight approximately 6.50 carats, length 13½ inches.
Condition
The platinum hexagonal motif is applied with a plaque signed Cartier Paris Londres and dates from circa 1910. The balance of the piece is of later date and is not signed. The spacer bars are mounted in white gold.
The rose-, old European- and single-cut diamonds are approximately H-K color and VS-SI clarity, with an occasional I clarity stone. The pearls are a creamy white shade and exhibit good luster. In good condition overall.
