Description
Comprising a brooch, circa 1950, the stylized floral and foliate spray of curved form, set with a cluster of 11 round, cushion-shaped and pear-shaped rubies, completed by 28 round, 7 marquise-shaped and 65 baguette diamonds weighing approximately 5.25 carats, mounted in platinum, and a pair of pendant-earclips and ring, altogether set with 5 cushion-shaped rubies weighing aprpoximately 6.75 carats, 78 round and single-cut diamonds and 26 baguette diamonds weighing a total of approximately 5.25 carats, mounted in platinum and white gold, ring size 5¾.
Condition
The brooch is in very good condition. The rubies are an attractive pinkish red, a few stones have girdle chips. Diamonds are approximately G-H color and VS-SI clarity. The earrings are mounted in platinum, the clip-backs have been changed and there are a few areas of solder repair, otherwise good condition. The ring is mounted in white gold, similar in design to the earclips but not a true match. The diamonds are G-H color and VS-SI throughout. Ruby in the ring is abraded. Elements appear to be circa 1935.
