Description
Both designed as gold mesh straps with diamond-set buckles, the first a narrow strap with hinged center concealing a small square watch dial with black Roman numerals and markers, backwind, case signed Van Cleef & Arpels, French assay marks, clasp numbered 96.561, length 6¾ inches; the second of textured and polished gold, the hinged buckle set with 32 round diamonds weighing approximately 1.65 carats, concealing a square dial with gilt baton numerals, dial and bracelet signed Piaget, backwind, case numbered 3854, 75191, length 6¼ inches.
Condition
The VCA watch is set with 11 small round diamonds weighing approx. .16 carat. The manual backwind movement is signed Blancpain, Rayville, numbered 591668, it is not running, there are French assay marks. The Piaget watch has a manual backwind movement which is presently running, numbered 611962. Inside of case signed Piaget, numbered 3854. Diamonds are G-H color, VVS-VS clarity. Both watches have some signs of usual wear and the flip tops on both watches do not close securely. See Important Notice Regarding Condition of Watches on page 281 of the catalogue.
