Description

Comprising a necklace, a bracelet, and a pair of pendant-earrings, decorated with oval micromosaics of lovebirds and sprays of flowers in multi-colored tesserae, within gold frames decorated with filigree and beadwork, the necklace supporting chain swags and dart pendants, necklace and bracelet lengths 15 and 7 inches, maker's mark and French assay marks. With fitted case.

Condition

In good overall condition with light surface wear and very minor discoloration to the gold. Minor damage to a chain on one of the earrings with evidence of earlier repair. The casebacks to micromosaics are not entirely flush with the rims and there is evidence of solder and some scratching to those on the necklace and bracelet, though not excessive. Moderate denting to the casebacks on the earrings. The micromosaics are well executed and in very good condition overall with no apparent losses (allowing for some areas where the tesserae do not conform perfectly). The maker's mark of EP (or FP) in a lozenge found on the bracelet has not been identified.
