Pair of diamond and cultured pearl brooches

The plaques of stepped outline and geometric design, set with 143 round, 22 emerald-cut and 2 marquise-shaped diamonds weighing a total of approximately 8.25 carats, further decorated with 6 cultured pearls measuring approximately 6.3 to 7.6 mm., mounted in platinum and white gold, 1 diamond simulated. 

Diamond segments are mounted in platinum and probably date from around 1930, the pearls are mounted in white gold and were later added. Diamonds are G-H color, predominantly VS clarity with some SI stones, one stone is I clarity and chipped and one small stone in the lower right corner is simulated. The pearls are a creamy golden color with good luster and minor blemishing. Both pieces in good condition overall.
