GOLD AND DIAMOND BANGLE, LATE 19TH CENTURY

The hinged bangle decorated to the front with a stylised four pointed star, set with cushion-shaped and circular-cut diamonds, the principal cushion-shaped stone weighing 9.71 carats, inner circumference 150mm, central motif detachable, can be worn as a pendant.

Mounted in silver and gold. The principal diamond weighing 9.71 carats, estimated colour J/K, estimated clarity SI1, there is a natural on the crown displaying trigons, small nicks and a natural to the girdle. A little loose in the setting, could benefit from attention by a professional jeweller. The remaining stones estimated to weigh approximately 8.0 - 10.0 carats, estimated colour I-K, estimated clarity SI-I. The centre stone detaches when you undo the threaded key on the reverse, you then reattach it to the cross motif section, there are two hinged pendant fittings to reverse. Secure catch to bangle, scratches and indentations consistent with age and wear. In very good condition.
