Description

The central panel millegrain-set to the front with a principal step-cut emerald flanked by circular-, single-cut and baguette diamonds and further decorated with foliate motifs, highlighted by calibré-cut emeralds; the back designed as a series of alternating baton-shaped and circular links set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, length approximately 390mm, length adjustable to 460mm by use of a later additional section. 

Condition

Stamped with Austrian assay marks and 950 for Platinum to several places on necklace, stamped with Austrian assay marks and 585 for 14 carat gold to modern section. Stamped with Austrian marks and 950 for platinum. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 15.0 - 17.0 carats, bright, lively stones. Emeralds a medium green with medium light saturation, typical inclusions visible with the naked eye, small nicks visible with magnification. Principal emerald measures approximately 12.1mm x 8.3mm x 5.25mm, estimated to weigh approximately 4.30 carats. Well matched in colour. Secure clasps each with safety catch. Well articulated. Scratches to mount on reverse consistent with age and wear. Central section with fitting possibly for a pendant. In very good condition.
