Description
Comprising: a portrait miniature of a gentleman, with a full bottomed wig, wearing a green velvet coat and a white jabot, circa 1730; together with a buckle, designed as a pair of oval portraits of a young gentleman with powdered hair, wearing a purple coat with a green collar, and a young lady with a feathered hat, wearing a blue dress, within a border of oval paste, circa 1770.
Condition
Portrait of a Gentleman: enamel on copper, with dust and dirt trapped under glass, would benefit from professional clean, and small chip to bottom on left hand side, frame with bright diamonds all appear brown due to foil backing, hinged cover with glass now deficient.
Two smaller miniatures painted on Ivory, both with glass covers lose and small chips to edges, past frames with small chips and abrasions. Collection of miniatures in good overall condition.
