Description
The rectangular frosted rock crystal case decorated to the hinges and clasp with cabochon sapphires, highlighted by rose-, step-cut and baguette diamonds, further applied with carved sapphires of stylised leaf design, measurements approximately 90mm x 60mm x 15mm, French assay marks, accompanied by a suede travelling case, pouch by Cartier and a Certificate of Authenticity, no. GE2007-35 from Cartier Geneva.
Condition
Rock crystal with some very minor chips to edges only visible with magnification. Carved sapphires a medium light blue with weak saturation of colour, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye. Sugarloaf sapphires a medium dark blue with moderately strong saturation of colour, typical inclusions visible with a 10x lens, back stones with abraded surfaces. Diamonds bright and lively. Secure closure. Travelling case with some marks from labels, could benefit from a careful clean. In excellent condition.
