DIAMOND NECKLACE, MID 19TH CENTURY

The articulated necklace designed as a series of rose-cut diamonds in cut-down collet settings, between bar links decorated with lines of rose-cut diamonds applied with similarly set scroll motifs, length approximately 360mm, hinged pendant fitting to centre, one small rose-cut diamond deficient, five scroll decorations deficient.

Fittings to reverse, indicating that the necklace was probably the base to a tiara frame, five S scrolls deficient and with heavy oxidization to the silver, diamonds bright lively stones, appear brownish in colour due to closed foil backing. In overall good condition.
