OPAL AND DIAMOND PENDANT NECKLACE, CIRCA 1900

Set with two oval opals, framed by scroll motifs, accented with circular-cut diamonds, suspending an articulated pear-shaped opal drop, to a curb and fetter link chain, length approximately 400mm.

Stamped 14B, 14 carat gold to reverse of central section. Opals displaying typical play-of-colour, especially blues and greens, well matched, light scratches. Pear-shaped drop with a small area of matrix visible to obverse and to reverse of this and central stone. Fine chain. Diamonds bright and lively. Mount with scratches consistent with age and wear. In very good condition.
