AQUAMARINE TABLE CIGARETTE BOX

The rectangular box raised on feet, the hinged lid opening to reveal a large single space, mounted to the centre with a circular-cut aquamarine in a stylised Fleur-de-Lys setting, measurements approximately 225mm x125mm x 55mm.

Accompanied by a paper from the Mineralogisch Petrographisches Institut Hamburg with further details on the aquamarine. The Aquamarine weighing 226.44 carats a medium greenish blue, with medium light saturation of colour. Very small nicks only visible with magnification. Cigarette case stamped 925 for Sterling silver, signed Hölscher and numbered 11463A, weighing 916.6 grams in total. Silver with some oxidation, some light scratches consistent with use. In very good condition.
