Description

Comprising: a gold brooch designed as a stylised six-pointed star, applied with cabochon turquoise and seed pearls depicting the face of an owl, its eyes embellished with cabochon rubies, together with a pair of pendent earrings of similar design; the bracelet set to the front with a panel composed of three interlocking loops, applied with engraved scrolls, each pavé-set with cabochon turquoise and accented with circular-cut diamonds, length approximately 180mm; a diamond brooch designed as a stylised winged heart, pavé-set throughout with circular- and single-cut diamonds.

Condition

Brooch: Seed pearls of cream to yellowish bodycolour. Discolouration to some cabochon turquoise. Obvious areas of tarnishing to front and reverse with evidence of scratching consistent with age and wear. Later pendant attachment and evidence of lead solder to reverse of side-section - repair. Brooch pin bent. In overall good condition. Earrings: Seed pearls of creamy to yellowish bodycolour. Majority of cabochon turquoise discoloured. Minor scratching to polished surfaces. In good condition. Bracelet: Estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.15-0.20 carats. One cabochon turquoise chipped, some with discolouration. Noticeable lead solder to reverse. Small areas of tarnishing and scratching to polished surfaces consistent with age and wear. Bracelet well articulated with a glazed compartment to the reverse containing a braided lock of hair. Safety chain to side of clasp, clasp missing to end of safety chain. In overall good condition.
