Description

  • Jean-François Griffet, maître in 1779
  • height 35 3/4 in.; width 57 1/4 in.; depth 23 in.
  • 90.5 cm; 145.5 cm; 58.5 cm
with a D-shaped mottled grey and white marble top, the frieze veneered with Greek key motifs above two drawers quarter-veneered sans traverse flanked by a pair of cupboard doors enclosing narrow shelves, raised on round tapered legs; with associated ormolu mounts.

Condition

Has been in use for considerable period of time without recent restoration; overall condition quite good and shows wear consistent with age and use. Some old repairs to veneers, minor lifting in places. Quality is good and would be well worth professional restoration. Attractive model.
