the rectangular top inset with a black leather writing surface, the shaped frieze with three drawers raised on cabriole legs ending in scrolled ormolu sabots. Partially remounted, some mounts bearing the crowned C poinçon

Condition

The color less red and more attractive than in the catalogue illustration. MInor marks and scratches to the leather surface, consistent with age and use, as visible from the catalogue illustration. Rubbing to the ormolu mounts. Old hairline crack consistent with age, with hairline cracks to the veneer along the sides. Restorations to veneer. In otherwise good condition.
