Description

  • height 12 1/8 in.
  • 30.8 cm
modelled by Johann Joachim Kändler, the god wearing a lion skin and club as he struggles beneath the weight of the blue-starred globe, faint crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue. Firing cracks to base.

Condition

There are firing cracks running up from base through rockwork in three places. One extending up to base of his lion skin. THere is a ground off chip underneath back corner of the base.
