Description

  • 25 cm
each bulbous body thickly applied with berried laurel leaves and with curved handles, with similarly decorated domed lid centered by an ormolu finial, the neck with an ormolu border pierced with vitruvian scrolls, raised on an ormolu base.

Condition

Minor chips to the buttons, consistent with age. Probable restorations to the handles of one. Minor chippings to the buttons on the leaves, as visible from the catalogue illustration. Old very minor chips to the leaves, which are barely noticeable. Surface dirt resulting in a slightly darker patina, consistent with age and use. Minor marks to the ormolu as visible from the catalogue illustration. Each of the bases bearing the red inventory number 6707. 6.
