painted in the center with sprays of indianische Blumen within a gilt scrollwork band on the cavetto and a underglaze-blue and gilt trellis border around the rim reserved with four panels of Chinoiserie figures, the underside of the rim painted with three iron-red foliate sprays, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue. Some regilding.

Catalogue Note

Two similar stands, with landscape panels on the rims, were sold in these rooms, October 22, 2005, lots 8 and 9. A third stand, with center and trellis decoration similar the the present lot, but also with landscape panels, was sold at Sotheby's, London, November 26, 2002, lot 77.
